This book, “Geography for Secondary Schools,” or “Geography Form One TIE Book” is written for Form One students in the United Republic of Tanzania. It is prepared in accordance with the 2005 Geography Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education Form I-IV, as issued by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
The book is divided into five chapters:
- The Concept of Geography,
- The Solar System,
- Major Features of the Earth’s Surface,
- Weather and Climate,
- Map Work.
Each chapter includes illustrations, activities, and exercises designed to engage students and reinforce learning.
Learners are encouraged to complete all activities and answer all questions to enhance their understanding and acquire the skills and competencies intended for this educational level.
